Three charged with plotting to fund terrorism in Britain

British police on Saturday charged three people arrested earlier this week with plotting to fund terrorism.

The three suspects, two men and one women, who were arrested under anti-terror law in Coventry, central England, were all charged with conspiracy to provide money and other property for aiding terrorist activities, the police said.

They were due to appear at Bow Street Magistrates Court in central London on the coming Monday, the police added.

According to the police, one of the three people, a 30-year-oldman, was also charged with directing the activities of a terrorist organization.

The police also said he was a member of the Lashkar-e-Taiba group, which has been listed by the European Union and the United States as a terrorist organization.
