DPRK backs China's adoption of Anti-Secession Law
font size

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Tuesday expressed its support for the newly adopted Anti-Secession Law in China.

"The adoption dealt a heavy blow to the forces seeking the secession of Taiwan from China as it helped lay a legal framework for achieving sovereignty, territorial integrity and peaceful reunification of the country," said a spokesman of the DPRK Foreign Ministry.

It is the invariable principled stand of the DPRK to render consistent support to China's policy for reunification based on the principle of "peaceful reunification" and "one country, two systems", he added.

"We fully support the recent measure taken by the Chinese party and government, considering it as a very just one," the spokesman stressed.
