The Nepali government unequivocally supports China's Anti-Secession Law, the Nepali Ministry for Foreign Affairs said Wednesday.
"His Majesty's government extends its unequivocal support to the People's Republic of China for the anti-secession legislation enacted by the Chinese National People's Congress," the ministry said in a press statement.
Nepal believes that the legislation will contribute to achieving the goal of China's reunification, the statement said.
The government of Nepal, in conformity with its long-held one-China policy, considers Taiwan as an integral part of the People's Republic of China, it added.
The Anti-Secession Law, passed on Monday with an overwhelming vote, aims to prevent Taiwan's secession from China.
