Ethiopia's parliament fully supports China's adoption of the Anti-Secession Law, which is intended to prevent Taiwan's secession from China, Speaker of the Council of People's Representatives of Ethiopia, Ato Dawit Yohannes, said Wednesday.

The Ethiopian parliament and government all along adhere to the one-China policy, and considers it a matter of course for China to achieve peaceful reunification, Dawit said when meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Ethiopia Lin Lin.

The adoption of the Anti-Secession Law indicates the Chinese government's determination to solve the Taiwan issue in a lawful and peaceful way. Ethiopia believes China has the capacity to solve the issue and hopes it to be solved as soon so possible, the speaker said.
