Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing concluded his two-day official visit to Nepal and left Kathmandu Friday afternoon for the Maldives.

"My very good visit has positive results. The (Nepali) foreign minister and I have reached the consensus that we will continue to work together to make the bond of the traditional friendship of the two peoples even stronger," Li told Xinhua at the Tribhuvan International Airport before his departure.

The two sides will make the cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, cultural and educational exchanges even more fruitful to benefit the two peoples, the Chinese foreign minister said.

He said he had a very good discussion with Nepali King Gyanendra, during which he thanked the king's government for its continuous support for China's reunification course of the motherland.

Li Zhaoxing also met with Tulsi Giri and Kirti Nidhi Bista, vice chairmen of the Council of Ministers, or cabinet, during his visit on the eve of the golden jubilee of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Nepal on August 1.
