Nepali king to attend meetings in Indonesia, China

Nepali King Gyanendra Bir BikramShah Dev and Queen Komal Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah will visit Jakarta of Indonesia and Bo'ao of China to attend the Asian-African Summitand the Bo'ao Forum later this month, the Nepali Foreign Ministry said Thursday.

The royal couple will leave Kathmandu for Jakarta on April 20 to participate in the Asian-African Summit to be held there on April 22-23, at the invitation of the co-chairmen of the summit --Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and South Africa President Thabo Mbeki.

On April 24, they will proceed to Bo'ao in south China's Hainan province to participate in the Bo'ao Forum for Asia Annual Conference at the invitation of Fidel Ramos, chairman of the forum.

The royal couple will be accompanied by their daughter Princess Prearana Rajya Laxmi Devi Singh.
