To maintain and further unleash the potentials of Asia Cooperation Dialogue, China proposes to carry out works in following aspects, said Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing at the 4th Ministerial Meeting of Asia Cooperation Dialogue in Islamabad on April 6.

Consolidate the current cooperative fruits. China suggest action plans be made in 19 fields of cooperation in a bid for new progresses every year.

Further expand fields of cooperation. China proposes to set cooperation in public health, media as new fields for Asia Cooperation Dialogue. The Indian Ocean tsunami has shown Asian countries need to strengthen cooperation in disaster prevention and relief. China is willing to act as initiator in this regard.

Push forward energy cooperation. The ministerial meeting of Asia Cooperation Dialogue 2004 adopted Qingdao Initiative and proposed to put up Forum for Asian Energy Cooperation. To implement the Initiative, China is willing to hold the third conference of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue's energy safety task group, during which ways to strengthen energy cooperation are to be discussed.
