Zero-tolerance action on piracy
font size

The 2nd Week for the Publicity of Intellectual Property Rights Protection will launch an intensive attack against law breaches in audio and visual market in 10 cities.

The one-month action will particularly focus on pirated US films, Japanese cartoon, TV series from South Korea and overseas pops.

In Beijing, the program will clear away peddlers of pirated copies around the embassies, electronic markets and adjacent areas. The sweeping crackdown will trace storages, packaging plants, processing plants and distribution networks of pirated copies.

Cases which are subject to criminal law will be brought to the police. Those who are held responsible will face legal penalties.

The special program is organized by the national office for market order rectification.
