Li Zhaoxing to meet with Japanese FMAccording to the Phoenix TV Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing, who is accompanying Premier Wen Jiaobao on a visit to four South Asian countries, has confirmed that he would meet with Japanese Foreign Minister Nobutaka Machimura in Beijing by the end of this month to discuss how to ensure the stable and sound development of the China-Japan relations. They would also be discussing issues involving the six-party talks. Li said, during the meeting with Nobutaka Machimura they would discuss how to steer the development of the China-Japan relations toward a direction in the interests of the both peoples and conducive to the regional and world peace. All the topics relating to history including the textbooks will be touched on in the process. Apart from exchanging opinions with the ROK Foreign Minister at the Asian foreign minister meeting just concluded he would touch on this topic during the meeting with the Japanese Foreign Minister.
