Rainstorm hits Sichuan Province

The picture taken on April 9, 2005 shows a house destroyed in strong gales, rainstorm and hails at a village in Emeishan, a city in southwest China's Sichuan Province. Ten people have been confirmed dead, two others severely injured and one missing in the destructive weather since April 8.

Ten people have been confirmed dead, two others severely injured and one missing in the destructive weather since April 8. The violent weather also destroyed more than 20,000 houses, damaged crops and cut off power supply in more than 20 cities and counties in the province.
