In face of the construction of the first GSM-R system at the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the Qinghai-Tibet Management Department of the 4th Bureau for Railway Electrification of the Chinese Railways has succeeded in bringing out substantial model, theoretic basis and technical guarantee for its construction based on the climatic features at Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and by a series of investigation, value extraction, experimentation and theoretic analyses.

This has provided us with relevant technical parameter and substantial case in working out the standard for the construction of the GSM-R for comprehensive mobile telecommunication system along the Chinese railways, and this has also offered us with some experience for the follow-up work along Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway and the passenger special line, etc.
