Raul Castro Ruz, second secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, left here Wednesday morning for Shanghai, continuing his six-day visit to China.
Raul Castro, also first vice-president of the Council of State and first vice-president of the Council of Ministers of Cuba, arrived here Sunday as guest of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
During his visit here, Castro met with Chinese party and state leaders Hu Jintao, Wu Bangguo, Wen Jiabao and Jia Qinglin, respectively. Zeng Qinghong and Castro held talks, and witnessed the signing of an agreement of economic and technological cooperation between the two governments.
Also in Beijing, Raul Castro Tuesday laid a wreath at the Monument to the People's Heroes and paid homage to remains of late Chairman Mao Zedong.
Raul Castro is scheduled to leave Shanghai Friday, concluding his second visit to China since 1997.
