font size

China's largest offshore oil producer announced here Thursday that the oil field discovered independently by the company in the Bohai Bay outperforms the initial target.

China National Offshore Oil Corp. said in a press release that LD 10-1 oil field in the Bohai Bay is now producing more than 28,000 barrels per day, which is quite higher than expectation.

An oil well in the field numbered as A11 has achieved a steady daily production of 7,000 barrels per day since its commencement on March 29, setting a new record in daily production.

Liu Jan, senior vice president of the company, said the performance of LD 10-1 oil field clearly demonstrates the independent exploration capability of the offshore oil giant.
