Israel allows Palestinians to visit jailed children
font size

Israel has informed the Palestinian side that it allows 3,500 Palestinian families to visit their children in Israeli jails, Palestinian sources said Saturday.

Palestinian Minister of Prisoners' Affairs Sufian Abu Zayda told Israel Radio that Israeli Minister of Public Security Gideon Ezra informed him about the decision during a meeting on Thursday.

These families have been prevented by Israel from visiting their children for several years for security reasons, Abu Zayda said.

However, he said that discussions on releasing Palestinian prisoners did not yield any result.
