From processing for others to producing its own brands, Zhejiang Province in east China now owns the largest number of well-known trademarks, famous marks of provincial level and brand names for export in China.
With 17 added in 2004, Zhejiang has had a total of 45 well-known trademarks at the end of that year, leading other regions in China.
Zhejiang has had 1,021 famous marks, ranking the first in the country in terms of number of provincial trademarks.
51 among the 190 national key export brands are in Zhajiang, also the first place in the country.
15 products of Zhejiang origin, including Shaoxing wine, Longjing tea, Jinhua ham, Hangzhou white chrysanthemum and Longquan celadon, have been listed under China's product protection of producing areas.
