Palestinian police and preventive security forces condensed their deployment Thursday at the outskirts of the northern Gaza Strip town of Beit Hanoun after several rockets were launched from there into Israel, security sources said.
The sources said that Palestinian security members stationed at outposts around the town, aiming at preventing militants to fire rockets and mortar shells into Israel.
A decision was also made Wednesday night to deploy Palestinian security forces in the northern Gaza Strip and shove the police in the northern tip of Gaza on the borders with Israel, said thesources.
They added that contacts would also take place between the police and representatives of the popular resistance committees who had claimed responsibility for launching homemade rockets into the Israeli town of Sederot.
