Crude oil prices touch 48.50 dollars per barrel in New York

Crude oil futures fell sharply in early trading on Thursday at the New York Mercantile Exchange, with light, sweet crude oil futures for June delivery touched 48.50 dollars a barrel, the lowest intraday prices since February 22.
