Macedonia, Albania and Bulgaria signed Tuesday in Ohid, southwestern Macedonia, a memorandum to enhance their military technique and science cooperation, the Macedonian Information Agency reported.
The memo was signed by Macedonian Defense Minister Jovan Manasijevski with his counterparts of Bulgaria, Nikolaj Svinarov, and of Albania, Pandeli Majko, during their two-day trilateral meeting from Tuesday.
"Today we have made a significant step for the region's stability and security," Majko said after the memo's signing, remarking the memo as a contribution to the relations among the three countries.
"We are certain that the region's security will be on higher level when Albania, Macedonia and Croatia join NATO, and Serbia and Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina are invited to join the Partnership for Peace program of NATO," Svinarov said.
Manasijevski extended gratitude to Bulgaria for its support to Albania's and Macedonia's efforts for NATO membership.
