"Future of Asia" international symposium, featuring the theme of "conforming and intensifying the strategy of Asian economy" and sponsored by Nikkei Business, was held in Tokyo on May 25. High-ranking officials and scholars from China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, ROK, India, Indonesia, Philippine as well as the US got together, looking forward the future and exploring the issue of peace, development and cooperation in Asia.

There are also three seminars in the current symposium. During the seminar of "The economic conformity in East Asia and the world", China's attitude that treated powerful countries and weak countries equally has been acknowledged while negotiating FTA with ASIAN countries; during the seminar of "The vitality of Asian new industries under BRICs' age" (BRICs, collective abbreviation for Brazil, Russia, India, China), all the entrepreneurs' present believed that the rising markets in these four countries will develop rapidly, and become a huge power that leads the world's economy; during the seminar of "Evaluation on the security of East Asia", experts and scholars held that the stability and development of Sino-Japan relations will have a vital impact on the world situation.

Wang Yi, Chinese ambassador to Japan, noted that China's stability and development is a kind of direct contribution to the global peace. China insists on the five principles of peaceful coexistence, the principle of equality, as well as the participation in and promotion of regional cooperation. Additionally, China also peacefully solved conflicts and disputes, and has so far achieved positive results, such as the Six-party talks, India-Pakistan conflict as well as the territory and territorial waters between the ASIAN countries.

Being the largest developing country in the world, China is also one of the largest economic entities in Asia. The development of China's economy will bring great influence on the global economy, the Asian economy in particular. The peace, stability, development and prosperity of Asia is the historical duty of all the Asian countries. The future of Asia, China makes a difference!
