A Palestinian journalist was assassinated in the West Bank city of Ramallah on Monday, Palestinian security sources said.
Samir Rantisi, also advisor to former information minister, was shot dead Monday morning after an unknown assailant stormed his house, the sources said, adding security forces are investigating the case.
Palestinian Interior Ministry spokesman Tawfik Abu Khousa condemned the assassination.
"Security apparatuses, police, residents and all Palestinian factions have to take responsibilities in such a difficult situation that the Palestinians are going through," he told the Voice of Palestine.
