Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas are set to meet on June 21, Sharon's office announced on Wednesday.
A statement from the office said the two leaders would meet on June 21 and that a preliminary meeting would held in the coming days between Israeli and Palestinian officials on the truce that the two sides agreed in February and the coordination for Israeli withdrawal from Gaza and part of the West Bank starting in mid August.
This summit will be the second of its kind this year. The two leaders held a ground breaking summit on Feb. 8 in Egypt's Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh with a declaration of a ceasefire that put an end to over four years of violence.
