Two US soldiers killed by roadside bomb in western Iraq

Two US soldiers were killed when a roadside bomb struck their vehicle in western Iraq, the US military said on Tuesday.

The soldiers, assigned to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, were killed on Monday in the volatile city of Ramadi, some 110 km west of Baghdad, the military said in a statement.

Over 1,700 US soldiers have been killed in Iraq since the US-led invasion in March 2003, according to media tally.
