Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the ruling Communist Party of China (CPC), met in Beijing on June 17 with a delegation of the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF).
The visiting delegation is headed by Elliot Manyika, political secretary and national political commissar of the ZANU-PF and minister without portfolio of Zimbabwe.
Wang said exchanges between the political parties of China and Zimbabwe are conducive to mutual understanding and bilateral cooperation. The CPC is ready to enhance exchanges with the ZANU- PF to push forward cooperation between the two countries.
He also briefed Manyika on China's domestic situation and expressed appreciation of Zimbabwe's support for China's position on the United Nations reforms.
