Palestinian PM briefs reporters in Ramallah

Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei speaks to reporters at the Palestinian Authority headquarters in the West Bank city of Ramallah June 21, 2005, following the meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. Qurei said at the press conference that Abbas-Sharon summit did not meet expectations. Sharon met in Jerusalem on Tuesday with Abbas over a planned Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and part of northern West Bank. The summit was the first since the two leaders declared in February a mutual cease-fire.
