The 15th Inter-Korean ministerial meeting, which was attended by delegations of South Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), concluded its sessions on Thursday evening after adopting a joint statement on measures to enhance inter-Korean ties.
But the details of the statement was not known immediately. Chief delegates of the two sides were to hold joint press conference to announce the statement later in the day.
The statement may include contents of reopening inter-Korean general-level military talks, resuming reunions of separated family members and opening inter-Korean talks on agriculture and fishery, according to officials of South Korean Unification Ministry.
The 15th Inter-Korean ministerial meeting officially kicked off on Wednesday. The DPRK delegation was scheduled to leave here for home on Friday morning.
