The delegation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to an inter-Korean ministerial talks left South Korea for home Friday aboard a DPRK flight.
The 15th Inter-Korean Ministerial Meeting concluded its official two-day discussions on Thursday evening after adopting a 12-point joint statement.
South Korea and DPRK agreed to reopen inter-Korean general-level military talks, inter-Korean Red Cross talks and economic cooperation talks in the near future, according to the statement.
Moreover, the two sides agreed to launch new round reunions of separated family members in August.
The ministerial talks are the highest-level channel of dialogue between South Korea and DPRK. The next round of the talks is to beheld at DPRK's Mount Paekdu (Chang Bai mountain) in September.
The DPRK delegation, headed by the DPRK's Senior Cabinet Councilor Kwon Ho Ung, arrived in South Korea on Tuesday afternoon.During the sideline of the talks, South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun met the DPRK's delegates on Thursday afternoon.
