Palestinian militant group Hamas warned on Monday that any Israeli military action against the Palestinians during the planned withdrawal from the Gaza Strip would not go without violent reaction.
Mushir al-Masri, Hamas spokesman in Gaza, said that the Palestinian attacks on Israeli target would be linked to every aggression carried out against the Palestinian people.
He stressed that calmness or truce is still observed, but Israeli craziness will be of course strongly and violently confronted by the Palestinian armed resistance.
Israel is expected to start withdrawing all settlers and troops from the Gaza Strip and part of the West Bank in mid August.
However, Israeli and Palestinian security officials are concerned that Palestinian militants would intensify their attacks against the Israeli army and the Jewish settlers during the process of evacuation.
The Palestinians are also worried the Israeli army would launch raid on Palestinian towns and villages in the occupied territories to prevent militants from disrupting the withdrawal.
Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon had threatened that he would carry out the pullout plan under the Palestinian fire.
Meanwhile, spokesman of the Palestinian Popular Resistance Committees, known as Abu Abeer, said if the occupation forces raid Palestinian villages and towns, or commit a massacre against our people in order to cover the withdrawal, we will of course respond to these actions.
