Philippine First Gentleman returns
font size

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's husband, Jose Miguel "Mike" Arroyo, returned to the country on Sunday night from Hong Kong, a local media reported.

According to the online news of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, the First Gentleman returned with his son Diosdado "Dato" and daughter-in-law Maria Victoria and their daughter Eva Victoria.

Mr. Arroyo and his party left Thursday, a day after President Arroyo announced that her husband had volunteered to go abroad to help ease the political tension which was haunting his wife.

The First Gentlemen said nothing to reporters about his return.

He, his eldest son and his younger brother have been charged with benefiting from illegal gambling "Jueteng". The case is currently under investigation in the Congress.
