font size

Afghan President Hamid Karzai Friday strongly condemned the terror bomb explosions happened in London, while Taliban denied relations with the attack.

"This is an attack not against a city, not against a nation, this is an attack against the whole of mankind," Karzai told journalists in Afghan capital Kabul.

"It's time for us to go to the roots of terrorism here they are produced and stop them there without exception," the president said.

A series of bomb exploded in three underground trains and a double-deck bus full of people on Thursday. More than 50 people were killed and around 700 injured till now.

A group called the organization of al-Qaida in Europe claimed responsibility of the attack at the same time, and said it's a response to the massacres carried out by Britain in Afghanistan and Iraq.

However, Taliban denied relations with the explosions, which world media announced Friday, citing a phone statements made by an anonymous member of Taliban.

With the violent comeback launched by Taliban's remnants, around 600 people including civilians, Afghan and aid workers, as well as US troops have been killed in Taliban-led militancy since early this year.
