Chinese Minister of National Defense Cao Gangchuan said in Beijing on July 15 that there exist prolonged, friendly ties between China and Comoros and their armed forces.
During a meeting with Soilihi Mohamed, chief of staff of the National Development Army of Comorosm, and his party, Cao, also vice-chairman of the Chinese Central Military Commission and state councilor, said new advances have made in bilateral relations in all spheres over recent years. and China appreciates the Comoros government's support on Taiwan question and human rights issues, Cao said.
"The Chinese army attaches great importance to its friendship with the army of Comoros, and is ready to further develop the friendly cooperative ties between the two armies," he said.
Soilihi said the two countries have developed good relations and he thanked China for providing assistance to Comoros.
"I believe my visit is sure to further strengthen the friendly cooperation between the two countries and their armed forces," he said.
