Tibetan Cultural Week kicks off in HK

Tung Chee-hwa (L2), vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, Qiangba Puncog (L1), chairman of the People's Government of the Tibet Autonomous Regionm and Gao Siren (R2), director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR, attend the opening ceremony of the China Tibetan Cultural Week in celebration of the coming 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Tibet Autonomous Region, in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), July 15, 2005. The cultural week will feature exhibitions of Tibetan cultural relics, religious rituals conducted by about ten living Buddhas and performances of Tibetan songs and dances.
