Israeli army troops killed at least two members of the Islamic Jihad (Holy War) in the West Bank village of al-Yamoun west of Jenin on Tuesday morning and detained two people during the raid, Israel Radio reported.
The two killed in the operation are Jihad members after the army soliders surrounded the house in which the two were hiding and called on them to come out unarmed, said the radio.
It added that an Israeli bulldozer demolished the house after the two refused to surrender, while they were shot dead by the soldiers at the moment the two get out of the house suddenly.
Local witnesses confirmed that Israeli army troops backed by several armored vehicles and Israeli tanks stormed the village of Yamoun and directly imposed full closure on it.
Israeli soldiers surrounded a house in the village and called on its inhabitant by loudspeakers it to surrender, they added.
The witnesses said that there were exchanges of fire between the Israeli soldiers and Palestinian militants in the area, adding that there are several suffocation incidents due to launching Israeli gas bombs towards the residents' houses.
Israeli soldiers arrested two Palestinians and took them to unknown place, they added.
