The US State Department on Thursday strongly condemned new bomb attacks in London, saying it felt "shock, outrage, horror at yet another senseless and evil act. "
"We certainly, I think as you would expect, stand with our British friends and allies in response to this act," deputy spokesman of the department Adam Ereli told a news briefing.
Also on Thursday, the White House spokesman Scott McClellan said that US President George W. Bush has been kept closely informed about the new bomb attacks.
"We are monitoring the situation closely. The president has been informed of the reports," McClellan told reporters.
The blasts on Thursday luckily have injured only one person so far. They came exactly two weeks after more than 56 people were killed and over 700 people injured in blasts on underground railway trains and a bus in London.
