Harry Potter 6 falls prey to online piracyHarry Potter and Half Blood Prince has fallen victim of online piracy with the illegal copy of the book found on Internet just 12 hours after it went on sale. The Harry Potter fans fond of technique formed a team, and scanned the 607-page book into the computer in less than 12 hours. The audio books of Harry Potter 6 are widely circulated on file trading networks too. Christopher Little, JK Rowling's agent said his company is making great efforts in cracking down pirate actions, but he acknowledged some illegal copies have escaped. The most popular movie the Star War III and one of the great hits X & Y of Coldplay this summer have also suffered huge losses due to the piracies. JK Rowling had condemned online piracy of Harry Potter in her website. She wrote in January, "You should never trust any Harry potter e-books offered for download from the Internet or on P2P/file-trading networks. Setting aside the fact that these books are illegal (there are no authorized HP e-books to date), they may infect your computer with viruses." By People's Daily Online |
