Migrant workers and college students could be the future high-risk groups of AIDS/HIV inflection, said a senior health official here Saturday.
China's AIDS/HIV prevention publication will pay more attention to focus on tow groups, said Mao Qun'an, the press spokesman of China's Health Ministry.
"We need to strengthen the education on AIDS/HIV prevention among those people, who are more vulnerable to the disease" Mao told a seminar on relations between the deadly disease and media coverage.
The ministry has decided to provide free film copies on AIDS/HIV prevention for universities. It also has plans to make a 100-part TV programs on AIDS/HIV prevention, and hold some public exhibitions.
"The most effective way to prevent AIDS/HIV epidemic is to publicized the knowledge through various publication. There has on forbidden area in the publication and education on AIDS/HIV prevention in China, " Mao added.
China reported its first HIV positive case in 1985, and the official figures estimated that there are about 840,000 HIV carriers across the country.
