Bush expresses condolences to bombing victims in Egypt
font size

US President George W. Bush and his wife on Monday went to the Egyptian embassy here and signed a condolence book for the victims of the deadly attacks in Egypt's Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheik.

"We reiterate our strong desire to stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Egypt and bring justice to those responsible," Bush said.

The United States has strongly condemned the attacks and said it was ready to provide assistance to help investigate the attacks.

A string of suspected car bombs struck Sham el-Sheik early Saturday, killing as many as 88 people in the deadliest attacks in Egypt in nearly a decade.
