Visiting Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on Wednesday again called on Jews living in France to emigrate to Israel.
"I call all Jews in France and wherever in the world to come to settle in Israel. I do it all the time. It's the objective the most important of my government," Sharon told reporters.
The French Jews are however not called for settlement in Israel in a great hurry or "for reasons relative to anti-Semitism", he noted.
In July 2004, Sharon encouraged French Jews to urgently emigrate to Israel. France had strongly reacted, letting know that the Israeli prime minister was not welcome in Paris.
"France is an example for other European countries as regards combat against anti-Semitism that the French people take into serious," Sharon said Wednesday, expecting 10,000 Jews to arrive in Israel in 2006.
