Former US President Bill Clinton will address the 2005 China Internet Summit , to be held on September 10, 2005, at the picturesque West Lake in Hangzhou.
CEOs from around the world will also participate in discussing China's Internet commerce.
This is the 10th year that the Internet has been used for commerce in China. The theme of the summit will be "Connecting China and the World."
The summit has been held annually, except for last year, since 2002. Organized by Alibaba.com, China largest e-commerce company, this year's summit is will focus on globalization strategies, the future of online gaming and the development of Chinese e-commerce.
Other confirmed participants for this year's event include the CEOs of other top Internet companies around the world, including Google, Amazon, and Yahoo. Chinese heavyweights such as the founder of Netease and the CEOs of Sohu, Tencent and Shanda will also be present.
