Uganda says still has no news of Sudanese vice president

Uganda announced early on Monday that it still had no news of John Garang, the Sudanese first vice-president, after his helicopter had been missing for more than 24 hours.

"Since (Sunday) morning, we have been searching the Kidepo areato locate the chopper without success," said a statement by Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, who Garang had been visiting on Friday and Saturday.
