China will convene a forum on the development of a non-public ownership economy in Hefei, capital of east China's Anhui Province, from Oct.11-12.

The forum will be co-sponsored by the Central Committee of China Democratic National Construction Association, one of the country's non-Communist parties, the State Development and Reform Commission and the Anhui Provincial Government.

Cheng Siwei, Chairman of the Central Committee of the China Democratic National Construction Association, Wang Jinshan, Governor of Anhui Province, as well as Ou Xinqian, vice-minister of the State Development and Reform Commission, were appointed as honorary leaders of the organizing committee for the forum

The forum will have a theme of the "new environment for non-public economic development". And participants will discuss and exchange views on six topics, including the "the State Council's 36-item circular regarding encouraging, supporting and giving guidance to the development of an economy of non-public ownership," "how non-public economic entities will fare in expanding business overseas" and the "role of the economy of non-public ownership in the construction of a harmonious society", according to its organizers.
