Suspected failed suicide bomber Yassin Omar has been charged with conspiracy to murder passengers on the London transport system, the Sky news reported on Saturday.

The 24-year-old has also been charged with possession of an explosive substance in connection with the botched July 21 attacks.

Omar, from New Southgate, north London, is the first of the four people suspected of trying to set off bombs on July 21 to be charged.

He is accused of conspiring with other people to murder commuters as well as the attempted murder of passengers.

Omar is also charged with conspiring with others to cause injuries by explosions and illegally having explosive substances with intent to endanger life.

He was arrested in Birmingham on July 26 and will appear before Bow Street Magistrates on Monday.

Earlier, three men were remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with failing to disclose information about the botched London attacks.

Shadi Sami Abdel Gadir, 22, Omar Nagmeloin Almagboul, 20, and Mohamed Kabashi, 23, appeared at Bow Street Magistrates Court.

All three were all arrested in Brighton on July 31 and were charged under Section 38 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

The charges relate to the attempt to explode a bomb at Shepherd's Bush Tube station.

Gadir and Almagboul were both from Brighton while Kabashi was ofno fixed address.

The July 21 attacks came two weeks after four suicide bombers onthe London Underground and a bus killed 52 people.
