Iraqi group claims kidnapping 3 Turks -- TV
font size

A little-known group in Iraq claimed in a footage aired by the Arab-language al-Jazeera satellite TV on Sunday that it had kidnapped three Turkish workers employed by a company working for US forces in Iraq.

The group, named itself the Knights Brigade, showed three men speaking to the camera but no audio was available.

The group said this was the "last warning" to companies collaborating with US-led forces in Iraq, al-Jazeera reported.

The authenticity of the video could not be immediately verified.

Employees of the companies serving US-led forces frequently become the targets of insurgents in Iraq. More than 200 foreigners have been kidnapped in the war-torn country since the US-led invasion in March 2003.
