font size

No more death or disease cases of a pig-borne endemic were reported in southwest China's Sichuan Province as of 12:00 a.m. Monday, according to the Chinese Ministry of Health.

There have been no new disease cases of the pig-borne endemic since Wednesday and no death cases were reported on Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday.

There has been no new disease case for 11 consecutive days in Ziyang, where the first such case was discovered.

The disease has been under effective control thanks to well-planned preventive and control efforts, the ministry said.

The ministry will stop releasing the daily information on the pig-borne endemic from Tuesday on. The local health departments will be in charge of releasing the information on any new cases of the disease.
