font size

China's satellites TC-1 and TC-2 have successfully completed their scientific and engineering tasks within their designed life expectancy, and are now still in normal operation. Feasibility studies have been done to extend their life for another cycle as requested by client.

A meeting summing up on-orbit adjustments of the two satellites was recently held in Beijing by Aerospace Dongfanghong (East Is Red) Satellite Co., Ltd and the Space Science and Application Research Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Experts attending the meeting hold that through high-standard and all-round international cooperation, the TC satellite program has contributed significantly to the country's space science advancement, to the improvement of China's innovation capability in space physics studies and space environment forecast, and provided precious data for ensuring safety of China's space activities and scientific policy-making. Many creative scientific discoveries have lifted China into world top ranks in some aspects of satellite development.
