Chinese peacekeeping riot squad in Haiti honored by UN

China's second peacekeeping riot squad in Haiti formed by 125 members from Guangdong public security department and the frontier public security force was recently granted the UN peacekeeping medal.

According to sources, the citation ceremony was held on August 7 at the riot squad camp in Port-au-Prince, capital of Haiti. Attending the ceremony were about 100 peacekeeping troops and riot squads from various countries, officials from Haitian police authorities and Chinese peacekeeping civilian police.
