An exhibition is to open Wednesday in Hong Kong to commemorate the 60th anniversary of China's victory in the war of resistance against Japanese aggression and the victory of the world's war against Fascism.

Pan Zhenzhou, director of the National Museum of China, one of the co-organizers of the event, told a press conference here Tuesday that the nine-day exhibition will be a comprehensive one that features over 370 pictures and 104 relics showing the history of Chinese people's fighting against Japanese troops, of which over 50 percent have rarely been shown before.

Pan said the exhibition will tell visitors of the war of resistance against Japan, which was also the first time that Chinese people got entire victory in a war fighting against foreign enemy in the modern history.

The exhibition will also show that China's war of resistance against Japan gained support from peace-loving people, parties and governments from all over the world and China was the main battlefield of anti-fascism war in the east.

The show is jointly organized by Hong Kong Ta Kung Pao, the National Museum of China and Phoenix TV.
