The United States continues to work closely with the EU-3 over Iran's nuclear issue and urges Iran to cooperate fully with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), State Department deputy spokesman Adam Ereli said at a briefing on Wednesday.
"We continue to work closely with the EU-3 and other members of the IAEA Board of Governors," Ereli said.
"We want to send Iran a strong message that it is critically important to reestablish the suspension on uranium conversion activities and to cooperate fully with the IAEA in resolving all the unanswered questions about its nuclear program," he said.
Ereli said that the United States expects the IAEA Board of Governors to reconvene later this week to discuss next steps, including a resolution on Iran's nuclear issue.
He accused Iran of violating the November 2004 Paris Agreement by removing all seals at its uranium conversion facility in the central city of Isfahan and said Iran is just "isolating itself further and digging itself deeper into a hole."
Iran resumed work in uranium conversion facilities in Isfahan on Monday, bringing its nuclear talks with the EU-3, or Britain, France and Germany, to the brink of collapse.
