Man charged in connection with failed London bombings
font size

A man was charged Wednesday in connection with the July 21 attempted bomb attacks in London, police said.

Abdul Sharif, 28, is charged with failing to disclose information about prime suspect Osman Hussain, who is alleged to have tried to blow up a Tube train near Shepherd's Bush station, central London, on July 21.

London police said in a statement that Sharif would appear in court on Thursday.

Security is to be stepped up at all 20 Premiership football grounds in the wake of the attacks.

The police chief responsible for the City of London said it was only a matter of time before the capital's financial heartland is attacked by terrorists.
