China's export of machinery and electronic products grew 32.7 percent to reach 222.2 billion US dollars in the first seven months of this year, making up 55 percent of the country's total export.
According to a release made by the General Administration of Customs on Thursday, the export of electric and electronic products came to 86.7 billion US dollar during the period, up 31.3 percent year on year; machine tools to 80.7 billion US dollars, up 28.7 percent; and high-tech products to 110.9 billion US dollars, up 32.4 percent.
Among major items for export, the export of apparel products went up by 20.5 percent to 38.7 billion US dollars, the yarn and other textile products up by 23 percent to 22.8 billion US dollars, shoes up by 24.3 percent to 10.6 billion US dollars, and rolled steel up 120 percent to 13.11 million tons.
