Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni visited Tianjin, the largest port city in north China, on Saturday.
The King toured a Motorola mobile-phone factory and the Tianjin Port Saturday afternoon. He hailed the city's economic progress.
The King, who studied ballet in Tianjin in the 1970s', watched a ballet performance in the evening. On show were two songs wrote by his father, former Cambodian King Norodom Sihanouk.
Tianjin mayor Dai Xianglong told Sihamoni that China and Cambodia share a 2,000-year long friendship and the bilateral relations will keep strengthening.
Dai briefed Tianjin's economic and social progress, saying Tianjin will further enhance economic cooperation with its sister city, Cambodian capital Phnom Penh.
Sihamoni started his first state visit to China on Wednesday since he became the Cambodian king in October last year.
